On June 3, 2001, I will be in Lake Tahoe,
Nevada cycling a century for the first time. On that day I will cycle 100
miles, yes 100 miles, with other North Texans as a part of the Leukemia &
Lymphoma Society's "Team in Training" program. I will be cycling in honor of a
local North Texan struggling with a blood-related disease.
During the
months to come, I will be meeting with a cycling coach and will be training to
complete the century ride. I cannot think of a better way to increase my
fitness level and support such a worthy cause.
My goal is not only to
finish cycling the full 100 miles, but also to raise $3,000 to support the
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I need your help to make it to the finish
line. I am asking for your support in any way you can. Click on the
"help" link at the top of the page. The help page details how you can help me reach my goal, and help save a life.
I am currently
working on this web page which will detail my training efforts, pictures and
stories about my experiences with "Team in Training". Thanks for your
support!
